Posted by Dave: Such disappointing results for Clijsters and Federer. Would have loved them both to make their respective finals. However, they both played brilliantly, as did their opponents. Clijsters just seemed to run out of steam and focus, and Federer ultimately wasn't firing quite at Nadal's level this time around. Exceptional matches, though. And that's what I love about tennis. The sport is so intense and amazing when played at its best. No matter who wins or loses, you have to admire when great players are on the court, firing great shots back and forth, and creating great moments for all of us to savor. Props to Kim and Roger, and to their opponents!
